Art to part from Real to Surreal

Beautiful Songs, romantic quotes, heartfelt stories -These take me to a world of fantasy. Sometimes makes me wonder if they are for real. But there are such moments; in each person’s life. Probably in not the same shades of colors as in a movie or with the perfect sentences as heard, but full of intense emotions, and real. Some people have the gift to wrap these memories into beautiful art forms such as writings, paintings, songs, music or poetry. For the rest, the works of these artists are itself the best companions in times of loneness or reminiscence.

To me, music and writing are the most close-to-heart activities. Every song stirs a different emotion; some lyrics make me relate to certain events from the past, some lyrics urge me to look forward to an event in the future. Some make me feel strong when I am feeling low, some just make me want to smile and be happy.  

You must be having at least one such love for art that paves you a path for venting without needing to talk about it, something that will stay with you all your life. If you haven’t discovered one, it’s time to listen to a beautiful song!

I dream by the day. Unlike a night’s dream, I remember what I dream about. I remember I want to work for it.

Living Just Right

Trying too hard to live just right

Right - hardly defined by our hearts

Right - just defined by strangers and seeming props.

So wound up in knots, that time has dead set;

Convincing us it looks as perfect as a girl's plait.

We hold on to these 'principles';

Half heartedly but in 'discipline',

Willing to break our own hearts;

But not ready to pave new paths.

We could stop trying to be perfect for others

And live a true life that's rightly ours.

But we only dream or pen words

Never progress a step with any guts
